Research in design and design methodologies began to appear in industrialized societies in the 1950s and 1960s and design, as an act been described in various ways. After this period, examination of, and debates over the contents and components of design, as well as such topics as the thinking process of the designer, gradually increased and in this context new theories and methods emerged. Today, these examinations and debates have gained a new dimension in terms of developments in science and technology, particularly with the involvement of computer environment and computational Technologies in the design process. This work is focused on the interactive transformations between the process, form and representation which determine contemporary architectural discourse.

Tasar�m ve tasar�m metodolojileri �zerine yap�lan ara�t�rmalar end�strile�en toplumlarda 1950 ve 1960�larda artarak g�r�lmeye ba�lam�� ve tasar�m, bir eylem olarak �e�itli �ekillerde tan�mlanm��t�r.1 Bu d�nemden sonra tasar�m�n i�eri�i, bile�enleri, tasar�mc�n�n d��nsel s�reci ve benzeri konularda sorgu ve tart��malar giderek artm�� ve bu ba�lamda yeni kuram ve y�ntemler ortaya konmu�tur. G�n�m�zde, bilim ve teknolojideki geli�melerle, �zellikle de bilgisayar ortam� ve say�sal teknolojilerin, tasar�m s�recine dahil olmas� ile bu tart��malar yeni bir boyut kazanm��, teori ve pratikteki bu d�n��mler yeni s�ylemleri beraberinde getirmi�tir. Bu metin, g�ncel mimarl�k ve tasar�m s�ylemini belirleyen, s�re�, bi�im ve temsil ��genindeki etkile�imli d�n��mlere odaklanmaktad�r.
